When will the hatred stop? Is it because he is Muslim? – FFK queries ASUU’s stance on Isa Pantami’s professorship
Ex-Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has queried the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) who are against the professorship recently awarded to Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami.
On Monday, the National Executive Council of ASUU rejected a report submitted by Federal University of Technology (FUTO) chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), endorsing the appointment of Nigeria’s minister of communications and digital economy, Isa Pantami, as a professor of cybersecurity
November 15 at the end of a two-day meeting of the National Executive Council, newly elected President of the association Victor Osodeke stated that ”there are many unanswered questions on Mr Ibrahim’s professorship’.
Reacting to this development, FFK via his Instagram page wrote;
”What has Isa Pantami done to ASUU? When will the hatred stop? Is it because he is Muslim? I know Pantami well and he is eminently qualified to be a Professor. Let us be guided by love and not hate. Lies, disinformation, prejudice, ignorance and religious bigotry has blinded many in our country.”
