Actress jailed for posing naked with her son on his birthday (photos)

She was jailed for three months Friday after being found guilty of publishing obscene materials, domestic violence and undermining the privacy and integrity of another person, the outlet said.

A Ghanaian actress —Rosemond Brown popularly known as Akuapem Poloo — has been jailed for “domestic violence” — after she posted a photo of her posing nude with her near-naked son on social media.

The actress posted the pic showing her squatting down naked while holding hands with her confused-looking son as a bizarre celebration of his seventh birthday last June.
While Poloo’s hair covered her breasts and her son was at least wearing underwear, the “tribute” sparked outrage in Ghana — and the actress quickly deleted it and made a tearful apology.

But she was jailed for three months Friday after being found guilty of publishing obscene materials, domestic violence and undermining the privacy and integrity of another person, the outlet said.

“Did she ask for the permission of the child before posting the said picture? Did she respect the child’s right? No, she did not,” judge Christiana Cann said, according to the agency Newsflash.

“A harsh sentence will serve as a deterrent,” the judge told the court.

Child Rights International, a nongovernmental organization, had also pushed for her prosecution, the BBC noted.

Poloo regularly posts photos with her son, as well as rapper Cardi B, whom she met once in 2019 and claims in her Instagram bio is her “spirit twin sis.”

The “WAP” star was one of many to question the harsh punishment that will see the mom separated from her son while in jail.

“I seen a lot of Americans do photoshoots like that. Even tho is not my style I don’t think she was going for sexual more going the natural idea,” Cardi B tweeted when asked for her “take” on her “twinee.”

“I think jail is a bit harsh. Maybe social media probation or community service,” the star reasoned.
