
A multi-sectoral national emergency operation centres (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities
On the 13th of January 2022, 423 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria according to the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control website (NCDC).
Till date, 250009 cases have been confirmed, 221203 cases have been discharged and 3092 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory
The 423 new cases are reported from 17 States – Lagos (120), Rivers (118), Anambra (38), FCT (32), Gombe (31), Kaduna (21), Oyo (14), Benue (11), Cross River (10), Kwara (9), Borno (5), Kano (5), Bauchi (3), Jigawa (3), Abia (1), Ogun (1), and Sokoto (1)

Away from that, Fake operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have been busted while conducting an illegal raid at Ughelli, Delta state.
The fake operatives include a younger and older man and they were spotted in handcuff after being nabbed.
The vehicle they reportedly use in carrying out the raid was also shown off after they were apprehended.
