It was gathered that the gunmen mounted a checkpoint close to National Institute for Policy and Strategic Study (NIPSS) kuru where the paramount ruler was kidnapped on his way home.

It was learnt that the kidnappers stop a bus vehicle which was used as barricade while the paramount ruler ran into them and was whiskey away.
It was gathered that the kidnappers have established contact with the family and demanding for a ransom of N10 million.
Police Public Relations Officer PPRO ASP Ubah Gabriel Ogaba confirmed the incident.

Meanwhile, Military Information Officer Major Ishaku Takwa also confirmed the incident and said troops have been mobilised to rescue the monarch.

“Troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN in conjunction with other security agencies are on the trail of the kidnappers. God’s willing, the security agencies will soon close-up on the criminals.”

Vwang District is in Jos South Local Government Area where the famous National Veterinary Research Institute Vom is seated in Plateau.

Sadly, the incident is coming in less than one month after the abduction of another traditional ruler of Gindiri in Mangu Local Government Area, Mr Charles Dakat on Christmas Eve.

Away from that, Apex Northern socio-political organisation, the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has expressed its concerns over the health conditions of former Lagos State Governor and the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, after he made his intentions of contesting for president in 2023 known.

The ACF, at a press conference held in Kaduna on Saturday, said it would be a disaster for Nigeria to move from a President who is constantly travelling to Europe for medical attention to another in the same situation.

Speaking at the press parley, National Publicity Secretary of ACF, Emmanuel Yawe, demanded that “any person with a convincing medical report that Mr Tinubu is not fit to run for Nigeria’s president should come out and speak before it is too late.

“Those with evidence that the former Lagos governor was unwell should save Nigerians the agony of having a sick president after President Muhammadu Buhari.
