Daughter of former Oyo governor calls out Lagos nightclub after bouncers tried to assault her

Ajay Ajimobi — one of the daughters of late former Oyo state governor, Abiola Ajimobi, has called out a Lagos nightclub after their bouncers allegedly tried to assault her.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday, the 24-year-old University of Warwick graduate alleged that the bouncers ‘tried to put hands on her’ but thankfully she had her own security.

“Shortly after this we got into a fight at Cocoon Lagos. Your bouncers are okay with assaulting women. #misogynists. Picked the wrong ones though. Imagine being this cute and some sexit loser pig tries to put hands on you. No now,” she wrote.

Kogi Residents Fear For Their Lives As Gunmen Shoot Commissioner, Kidnap Others

The Kogi State Commissioner for—Environment — Adewale Omofaiye on — Sunday escaped being kidnapped but was shot on the leg by suspected kidnappers.
The incident happened between Ikoyi and Iyara in Kogi State at about 5pm on Sunday evening
Omofaiye was on his way to Lokoja when the suspected kidnappers opened fire on his vehicle and a bullet him in the leg.
An eyewitness said some other road users were kidnapped and taken into the bush by the kidnappers.
Omofaiye is reported to be in stable condition.

Nightclub owner and his mistress found dead inside car in Kano

Kano State Police Command has commenced investigation into the death of a popular nightclub owner, Steven Ayika and one Chiamaka Emmanuel, said to be his mistress.
Ayika, the CEO of Knight House and Chiamaka were found dead inside a Lexus car along Katsina Road in Fagge Local Government Area of Kano State in the early hours on Tuesday, November 23.

Late Ayika was married to one Jennifer and they have two children while Chiamaka was reportedly billed to be wed in December.
A witness who spoke to NAN said the car with tinted glasses was parked in front of Chiamaka’s family house.
Another witness said police officers discovered the deceased persons in a compromising position.

The Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, yesterday dismissed an appeal by the embattled former Minister of Petroleum, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, challenging the forfeiture of her $40 million worth of jewellery to the Federal Government.
The appellate court held that there was no substance in Alison-Madueke’s bid to overturn the lower court’s order. It affirmed the 2019 judgment of Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court, which forfeited the jewellery, following an application by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The appellate court gave its judgment in an appeal filed by Alison-Madueke marked as Appeal No CA/L/1263/19 between Diezani Alison Madueke and the EFCC.

On July 5, 2019, the EFCC had secured an order of the High Court temporarily forfeiting the expensive items to the Federal Government. According to the schedule attached to the application, the jewellery, categorised into 33 sets, include “419 expensive bangles; 315 expensive rings; 304 expensive earrings; 267 expensive necklaces; 189 expensive wristwatches; 174 expensive necklaces and earrings; 78 expensive bracelets; 77 expensive brooches and 74 expensive pendants.”null

Police Arrest Man Linked To Murder of Pro-Buhari Activist, Okeke

Police — in Anambra State has arrested one Chiadiobi, an indigene of Enugu State over the killing of Kenechukwu Okeke, a supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari. NAN had reported that the pro-Muhammadu Buhari government activist who put up a vicious opposition against the #EndSARS campaign, was killed by yet-to-be-identified attackers in Anambra State.

Okeke was said to have been macheted by some assailants numbering seven.
Okeke, as reported by his wife, Mrs Blessing Odinakachi, was allegedly killed in October by Chiadiobi, a former tenant of his, after a disagreement.
The Anambra State Police Command’s Spokesperson, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the arrest of Chiadiobi on Friday.
Police spokesman, Ikenga, said the state police commissioner, Mr Echeng Eworo, gave an order for the suspect to be arrested and questioned over the death of Okeke.

Judge declares bandits groups terrorists

A federal high Court in Abuja on Friday has finally declared the activities of bandits’ groups as acts of terrorism.

Mohammed Abubakar — the Director of Public Prosecution — DPP, of the Federation, had filed an ex-parte application seeking to proscribe the grisly activities of ‘bandits’ who have been vicious in kidnapping and killing their captives across Zamfara, Katsina, Kaduna, Benue and Sokoto states.

Abubakar accused bandits of waging a relentless war against ordinary Nigerians in the North-west and North-central States.

16-year-old girl who accused her father of raping her in Port Harcourt makes u-turn at police station, says

A 16-year-old girl who accused her father of raping her in Port Harcourt, River State has made a u-turn at the police station, claiming that she was influenced into making the ‘false’ accusation by an evil spirit.

According to human rights group, Centre for Basic Rights Protection And Accountability Campaign, the teenager reported her father to Chief Security Officer Of Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Mile 3 Diobu, Comrade Godstime Ihunwo on Tuesday, 22nd November that he has been raping her.

However, she made u-turn at the Human Rights Desk, Rivers State Police Headquarters, Moscow road when she told investigators and detectives that she was influenced by an evil spirit to accuse her father falsely.

Anambra describes EFCC moves against Gov Obiano as uncalled for

Don Adinuba–Anambra State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment has described the move by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission–EFCC, to place Governor Willie Obiano on watch list as politically motivated.

The Commissioner stated that the EFCC is being used by politicians who lost the Anambra governorship election to Obiano’s party, APGA.

According to Adinuba, the EFCC has not served the governor any notice or invited him to answer for any corruption-related offences yet the anti-graft agency clandestinely announced that it has placed the out-going governor of the state on its watch list.

Police declare 50-year-old man missing in Abuja

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command is asking members of the general public to assist the police with useful information that will lead to the safe reunion of a missing 50-year-old man, Lucky Imoni, with his family.
Spokesperson of the command, DSP Josephine Adeh, in a statement on Wednesday, said Mr Imoni was last seen on Saturday, November 20, after he left home to an unknown destination.

“According to his Wife Mrs. Imoni Omonigho ‘F’, Lucky Imoni, who is 50years old speaks English and Esan language; fair in complexion, short in height, no tribal marks and wore a blue jean three-quarter and a dark navy blue T-shirt with multiple strips and hails from Esan North-East Local Government of Edo State,” the statement read.
“Lucky Imoni was last seen at home, house 13 Redeem Estate Lugbe and left to an unknown destination on Saturday 20th November, 2021 at about 1pm.
