Pastor Giwa: Buhari sees Kanu, Igboho as threats, will release them after 2023 polls

“They plan to release both Kanu and Sunday Igboho after the 2023 elections.

A popular Nigerian cleric, Pastor Adewale Giwa, has disclosed that the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, will be set free by President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration after the 2023 general elections.

The cleric also revealed that the known face of the agitation for Yoruba Nation, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, will equally be released from Benin Republic after the polls.

Pastor Giwa, who stated this during the weekend, said President Buhari’s administration saw the two agitators as a threat to the 2023 elections.

Missing mother of two found dead in Lagos, body allegedly mutilated, buried by her trado-medical doctor

When interrogated, Mayowa claimed to have seen Mercy four years ago when she came to his traditional birth center to deliver a baby girl.

Mercy Henry, the mother of two who was declared missing in December 2021, has been found dead in Ijegun, a suburb in Lagos state.
According to NAN, Mercy’s younger sister, Promise, who confirmed the incident said a trado-medical doctor, simply identified as Mayowa confessed to have killed Mercy after one of the other three persons arrested in connection with her disappearance confessed.

Riot in Kogi as policeman allegedly kills boy over N20 sachet water

A yet-to-be-identified policeman allegedly killed a young boy over N20 sachet water in the Kabba area of Kogi State.

According to Daily Post, the death of the boy led to a wide protest on Saturday morning in Kabba town by angry youths in the area.

The protesters were said to have barricaded the police station in Kabba, chanting war songs as law enforcement agents made efforts to dispel the gathering with firing of tear gas.

Waalamu shared the ugly incident barely two days after a school teacher, Abdulmalik Mohammed Tanko, was arrested by the police for abducting and killing his 5-year-old pupil, Hanifa Abubakar, despite collecting part of the N6m ransom he demanded in Kano State.

I’ll release Bayelsa commissioner when police free my father – Kidnapper

The leader of the abductors of the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Federal Otokito, has demanded that his detained father be released by the police as the only condition in which the commissioner will regain his freedom.
According to PUNCH, the kidnappers contacted the paramount ruler of Otokito’s community, Otuokpoti, in the Ogbia Local Government Area to make the demand.

A 35-year-old ex-convict, Onyekachi Alozie and his wife, Oluchi, alongside another ex-convict, Agubata Maxwell Chimezie, 39, have been arrested over alleged kidnapped, murdered and setting ablaze of a 71-year-old man, Chief Precious Okorie in Imo state.

The gang was said to have accused Okorie of having an amorous relationship with Alozie’s wife, Oluchi, while the husband was serving a jail term at the Nigeria Correction Centre, Owerri.

The school teacher, alongside his accomplice, had demanded a N6m ransom for her release.

Suraj Sulaiman, uncle of five-year-old girl, Hanifa Abubakar, has revealed that the school teacher who kidnapped and killed her in Kano State was among the first set of people who sympathized with her parents after her disappearance.

AMB had reported that the suspect, Abdulmalik Mohammed Tanko, the proprietor of Noble Kids Nursery and Primary school in Kano was arrested by the police for killing Hanifa alongside his accomplice, Hashim Isyaku.

Man allegedly slaughters three siblings with cutlass in Oyo

The prosecutor added that the defendant also used a machete to kill 30-year-old Bello Abdulkadri on the same date, time and place.

A 30-year-old man, Abubakar Usman, has been remanded in Iyaganku Magistrate’s Court in Ibadan, on Thursday for allegedly killing three siblings.

The prosecutor, Sgt. Philips Amusan, told the court that the defendant killed the siblings, two minors and an adult, on January 13 at 5.00 p.m., at Oke-Orogun area of Saki, Oyo State

Amusan disclosed that Usman caused the death of 13-year-old Abdullahi Abdulkadri by inflicting cuts all over his body with a cutlass.
