Orji Kalu commiserates with Aliko Dangote over death of his brother, Sani. The Chief Whip of the Senate, Sen. Orji Kalu has commiserated with the President of Dangote Group of Companies, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, over the death of his younger brother, Alhaji Sani Dangote. Kalu, in a condolence message issued on Monday in Abuja, described the deceased, who was until his death the Vice Chairman of Dangote Group of Companies, as a complete gentleman with passion for humanity. Kalu, also a former governor of Abia conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Kano State over what he described as a “painful and huge loss” to the nation.
He acknowledged the contributions of the deceased to the business community, adding that the late Dangote was a big player in the private sector beyond the shores of Nigeria. The former governor urged the President of Dangote Group of Companies to take solace in the fact that his late brother lived a purposeful life committed to the service of humanity.
Widow Of ex-Foursquare GO, Yinka Badejo dies aged 72. Rev Mrs. Yinka Badejo was born on October 26, 1949, at Idioro, Ibadan, in Oyo State.
She was Deputy President of Foursquare Women International.“Her husband was concerned about her health before he died. Ironically, her husband was not sick before he died. It was Mrs Badejo that had been ill,” a source told Church Times.
Rev Yinka Badejo also coordinated a prayer and counseling ministry known as Dew of Heaven. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Library Studies in 1975 from the University of Ibadan after which she got married to Reverend (Dr) Wilson Badejo, the same year.
A Nigerian living in Abidjan who was wrongfully charged and incarcerated for a crime she did not commit passed away.
A Nigerian lady, 21, identified as Itunu Babalola, from Oyo State was a trader based in Bondoukou, Cote d’Ivoire.
Her apartment had been burgled by an Ivorian in September 2019 and she had reported the incident to the police but DPO informed her that the suspect was his nephew.
He reportedly offered her a settlement worth roughly N100,000 to drop the case, an amount lesser than the N300,000 worth of stolen effects. Babalola was subsequently arrested when she refused the settlement, charged to court for human trafficking and sentenced to 10 years in prison. A journalist, David Hundeyin, had shared the story of Babalola on Twitter in March 2021 and the Nigerians In Diaspora Commission had said it was working to prove the innocence of Babalola.
Aliko Dangote’s brother, Sani Dangote reportedly dies. The brother to Aliko Dangote, Sani Dangote, is dead. It was gathered that Sani Dangote died after a protracted illness in the United States on Sunday.
Sani was a member of several Chambers of Commerce, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Shipping of Nigeria and President of the Fertiliser Producers and Suppliers Association (“FERSAN”).

Two students who bear the same first name in Geography department, Federal University Lokoja, have died hours apart. Mary Mathias, a 400 level Geography student, died at FMC Lokoja of an undisclosed ailment early on Thursday, October 28.
Hours later, MaryJane Imaobong, a 300 level Geography student who had put up a post to mourn Mary Mathias, was involved in a fatal accident. MaryJane Imaobong was on a bike at the Felele area of Lokoja, Kogi State, when the bike collided with a J5 lorry.
Men of the Bauchi state police command have arrested a 27-year-old man, Enoch Yohanna, for allegedly pushing his girlfriend, Ruth Amos, to her death.
Confirming the arrest to newsmen, the spokesman of the state police command, SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, said a patrol by detectives sighted the 28-year old lady lying in a pool of blood with wounds on her head and blood gushing from her mouth at the Sabon Kaura area of Bauchi metropolis.
Wakil said a preliminary investigation showed that Enoch and the deceased engaged in a heated argument on the day she died after he saw her coming out of the compound of another man, He immediately challenged her and in the process pushed her and she fell, hitting her head on the ground.
