Uzodinma does not have what it takes to govern in a democracy – Okorocha

They have only been hearing stories of killings, arson, kidnapping, invasion, rituals. What they never witnessed when the righteous ones were in power or on the throne.


The former governor of lmo State and Senator Representing Imo West senatorial District, Rochas Okorocha has said Gov Hope Uzodinma does not have what it takes to govern a people in a democracy.

He said the government in Imo is a counterfeit of what a state government should be.
Okorocha made the assertion on Friday in a press release signed by his Special Adviser Media, Sam Onwuemeodo and made available to newsmen in Owerri.

5 Dead As Bandits Attack Imo Police Station On Friday

Imo state police has confirmed the deaths of two officers, three bandits during an attack on the Izombe police Division on Friday.

It was gathered, that at about 2:45 a.m. on Aug. 13, armed bandits attacked the Izombe Police station, but could not gain access due to the swift response from the police.

Operatives of the Enugu and Abuja Zonal Commands of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday, August 5, arrested 41 suspected internet fraudsters in separate operations in Owerri, Imo State and Abuja, Federal Capital Territory. Their arrest were made possible through creditable intelligence received on their alleged involvement in cybercrime.

Police has arrested IPOB, ESN members who attacked police stations in Imo State.

Police arrest IPOB/ ESN members who attacked police stations in Imo. The Imo state police command has arrested IPOB and Eastern Security Network members who allegedly masterminded and carried out the attack on the Omuma Police station and Njaba  Police Station respectively last week.

According to the police,  the bandits stormed the police stations on two different occasions, During the gunbattle, a Divisional Police Officer was killed while one of the bandits, Emmanuel Nnaji ‘M’ age 15 years, a native of Awala in Ideato South LGA of Imo State, was arrested with bullet wounds.

NDLEA arrests mother of three, recovers 12 wraps cocaine inserted in her private parts

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have arrested a Nigerian women based in Brazil on Friday, July 30, recovered 12 wraps cocaine inserted in her private parts while 88 pellets stuffed in socks where discovered hidden in her handbag.

During interrogation, Mrs. Ogbonna who is a mother of three children, a resident in Brazil, claimed she lost her husband three years ago.

She confessed she decided to traffick the illicit drug to raise money for the burial of her father scheduled for 22 July in Imo state.
