The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council, NIPC Mrs. Yewande Sadiku has been arrested by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for questioning over corruption allegations.

Two arrested over ritual killing of 50-year-old woman in Delta. Two suspects have been arrested in Delta state over the ritual killing of a 50-year-old pepper seller.
20-year-old cobbler, Akpoghene Idogo and one Onos Simon were arrested for conniving to kill Mr. Patience Komor for ritual purposes.
The suspects after killing the lady, removed some vital organs and buried the body in a shallow grave. While Simon was arrested two days after the incident, Idogo who fled the area to avoid arrest was arrested in Kwale where he had gone to seek refuge.
“As the security operations proceed, the Kaduna State Government has been advised to postpone the resumption of schools, previously scheduled for 9th August 2021, and to pause the continuation of infrastructure projects and construction in high-risk areas, while awaiting further assessments by the security agencies.
Mr. Samuel Aruwan, the state Commissioner for Internal Security in a statement on Friday, commended the military and police high commands for the ongoing security operations against armed bandits across the state.
Government said it had requested the military and police high commands to expand the operations to newly identified hide-outs.
“The government praises the doggedness and courage of officers and troops carrying out air and ground operations around Kaduna, Niger, Katsina, Plateau and Zamfara boundaries”, it said.
It also urged all residents to be patient and report any security breach to the nearest security agencies.
“New dates for school resumption will be announced, based on further security assessments.” While wishing the military and security agencies resounding success against the bandits, Kaduna government appeals for the understanding of all residents over any inconvenience caused by the postponement”, it said.
