Buhari Appoints Ezra Yakusak as new CEO of NEPC – Abaeme Maureen’s blog

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Dr Ezra Yakusak as Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC).

According to a statement that was issued on Tuesday by the Senior Special Assistant to the President, Garba Shehu, the appointment was for an initial term of four years in accordance with the provision of Section 7 (1) of the NEPC (Establishment) Act, 1987.

PDP will win Governorship Election in Anambra State – Gov Ifeanyi Okowa

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta has said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would win the November 6 governorship election in Anambra as it did in Edo in 2020.

The governor asserted this when he received the party’s flag bearer in the election, Mr Valentine Ozigbo and some defectors from All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra led by the Youth Leader in the state, Mr Magnus Eziokwu, in Asaba on Tuesday.

Tonto Dikeh has fired back at dancer Janemena who dared her to release her purported sex tapes with a politician, Prince Kpokpogri.



Tonto in her response to Janemena opined that the dancer doesn’t understand the meaning of ”See you in court”.

She said ”See you in court” would have been enough message if she was an adult but that Janemena would rather twerk to court.

Women protest, accuse school principal of extortion in Delta State

Indigenes of Ovwor community, Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State, Monday, embarked on a protest against alleged illegal collection of levies by Principal of the Ovwor Mixed Secondary School, Ovwor, Mr Fedelis Okoro.

The protesters, mostly women who stormed the school’s premises, displaying leaves and chanting songs of grievances, alleged that the school Principal was collecting high admission fee, high MMF fee and refusing to give examination results to students.

US govt reiterates support to fighting HIV in Abia State

The U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires (CDA), Kathleen FitzGibbon, has said that Abia had the sixth highest HIV prevalence rate in the country with an estimated 58,341 cases.

The CDA, who led a Mission Nigeria interagency team to Abia, said the meeting also marked “the re-engagement of U.S. assistance to the state, through its President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief” adding that the U.S. government will support renewed efforts towards HIV epidemic control in Abia.
